Artist's Description
I liked the perspective of the bridge fading into the distance. This was done Alla Prima, meaning in one setting. The rocks in the water are in the warm light but the bluff near the bridge is in a cool shadow.
About Kevin Hughes
I grew up with a love for all types of creative arts. My first paintings were in the 1970's. I was introduced to Plein Air painting in Sonoma, California in 2002 and have practice it ever since. In recent years I have been painting many "plein air" paintings, portraits, figures, as well as still life. I appreciate traditional realistic painting but also like contemporary style.
